The Work

What Agriculture Work Involves

  • Planting, tending and harvesting crops such as strawberries, vegetables or rice
  • Sorting, packing and preparing produce for shipment
  • Managing greenhouse conditions and basic machinery with training
  • Following pesticide, hygiene and heat-safety rules

A typical shift: Days follow the seasons and often start early. Greenhouse work can be hot and humid, so breaks, hydration and teamwork are part of the routine.

Safety & Workplace Culture
  • Heat illness (熱中症) prevention is taken seriously: hydrate and take breaks
  • Follow pesticide labels and wear protective equipment

Farms are often family-run and close-knit. Reliability, willingness to learn and care for the crop are respected.
